A BHV refresher course boring and predictable?
Not with us! We train for action. After all, you don’t learn emergencey response and first aid from a book. Our refresher modules are renewed every year. Think of interactive forms such as games, group assignments, and realistic scenario training. Always in a safe learning environment, with the instructor acting as a coach. Participants are stimulated, challenged, and actively involved.
Emergency Response Equipment Game
One of our methods this year is the emergency response equipment game: an interactive card game where participants link emergency response equipment to icons. They then answer in-depth questions about the equipment specifically present in their own work environment. This stimulates both cooperation and thinking about their own situation.
Building Knowledge Group Assignment
For our in-company emergency response refresher, we developed an assignment that actively involves participants in their own work environment. During a tour, they independently explore the building and inventory the available emergency response equipment and facilities. The instructor observes and guides but deliberately does not explain. Participants prepare short presentations in small groups and present them to each other. This increases their knowledge of the building, as well as their awareness and ownership.

No, the emergency response refresher course is certainly not the same every year. We surprise participants with a different theme each year (e.g., battery fires) and new work forms. We often receive feedback that it is refreshing and different each year and that participants learn something new every year.

Yes, the course can be provided for a group of colleagues at our location in Amsterdam or at your own company location (in-company). This can be a private group, so only you and your colleagues. For group courses, we have a minimum number of participants of 6 people. Inquire about the possibilities.
The open registration emergency response refresher is certified by the Dutch Institute for Emergency Response (NIBHV). For in-company training, you can choose between NIBHV certification or just a certificate of participation from us.
Our certificates are valid for 1 year. Within a year, you follow another emergency response refresher to extend the validity. We create an annual schedule and automatically (without obligation) invite our participants for the annual refresher. We keep track of the validity of our participants’ certificates!
